![]() NRT Program Coordinator About the Opportunity Job Description: Program Coordinator will support PEAR programmatic activities using appropriate IT, financial, communications and reporting tools. Reporting to the PI, the Project Coordinator will work closely with the PI and rest of the PEAR team to manage the educational and research activities, manage scheduling and communication with stakeholders, support the trainee application process, recruitment efforts, support mentoring, foster the collaboration between Northeastern University and the two partnering minority-serving institutions and collect data for program evaluation and reporting to NSF. Program Coordinator will develop project plans and milestones and help ensure execution of these plans as well as ensuring that all grantor contractual and regulatory requirements are met. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Candidates with grant and/or software project management skills and experience with graduate student programs is a plus. Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree with three to five years related experience; master's degree preferred. Must have 1-3 years' experience working in an office environment and have supervisory experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES 1) Financial management of PEAR (post-award administration). Track budgets, prepare expense reports, and provide forecasts to PI. Track grant processing at Northeastern, external collaborators and sponsors intervening, when necessary, to ensure timely and correct completion. 2) Interaction with PEAR trainees. Manage the trainee application process for PEAR at Northeastern and collaborating institutions. Support the trainees in their journey through the program. 3) Programmatic management of PEAR. Ensure official requirements and milestones for PEAR are met. Interface and help partners (University of Hampton and University of Houston) to achieve PEAR goals. Manage regular communication activities across the PEAR team: Biweekly Management Meetings Online Social Community Annual PEAR Research Symposium Annual Program Review 4) Procurement Procure equipment and supplies in support of PEAR direction of PI. 5) Administrative Support. Assist the PI in administrative tasks such as manuscript preparation, letter writing, travel arrangements, and grant preparation.
