Health and Wellbeing, comprised of University Health Services (UHS) and Recreation and Wellbeing (RecWell) is conducting a recruitment for a Chief of Staff to the Associate Vice Chancellor over Health and Wellbeing within Student Affairs.

The Chief of Staff will serve as a senior advisor to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs over Health and Wellbeing.

Duties include:
Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance
Manages daily operations in a unit, department, or functional area of executive leadership
Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives
Propose, develop and manage policies developed within various sub-functions, departments, and work groups
Collaborate with campus and community partners

This position requires collaboration with RecWell, UHS, other Student Affairs Departments, and campus leadership. Health and Wellbeing is looking for someone with experience in higher education, health and wellbeing, student affairs, or related field.

Preferred
Master's Degree

1. At least six years of professional and progressively more responsible experience in the field of
higher education, health and wellbeing, student affairs or related field with responsibilities requiring discretion, sound judgement, management, and policy-making.
2. Experience supervising professional staff

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Health and Wellbeing is a theme area within Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, led by the vice chancellor for student affairs. Our staff is dedicated to serving students and to helping them succeed in and out of the classroom in areas including health and well-being, identity and inclusion, leadership and engagement, and student advocacy. Student Affairs includes departments led by the dean of students; departments that provide identity-based spaces and leadership resources; the Wisconsin Union; University Health Services; and University Recreation and Wellbeing.
