![]() Administrative Officer 3, Trauma MED: Surgery Sacramento Campus Job Summary The incumbent serves as Executive Analyst to the Chief of Trauma, Director of Trauma Research, and other Trauma Faculty as assigned. This position is responsible for the management of the academic/administrative office and fiscal management of the Trauma Division within the Department of Surgery. This position has administrative responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the Trauma Division academic office. Responsibilities include short- and long-term financial planning including developing and updating financial business plans, strategic planning in conjunction with the Division Chief, and analyzing financial information. Serves as the liaison between high-level administrators within UCDH and outside agencies and is responsible for analysis and dissemination of information. This position also provides administration to the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. The incumbent is a key contact person for the Trauma Division and is responsible to manage the daily functions that include; managing complex on-call schedules, modifications and changes; coordinating and managing multiple complex division conferences, and trauma CQI; accounting, purchasing, fundraising, grant proposal preparation, manuscripts, conferences, lectures, and other clinical activities as needed; calendaring, coordinating travel, CV/dossier updates, support for merits, promotions, appraisals. This position will also be responsible for communicating with several national and international agencies and associations on behalf of Division Chief. These include bariatric surgery, burn surgery, colorectal surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, endocrine surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, transplant surgery, trauma, acute care and surgical critical care surgery, vascular surgery, and oncologic surgery. The Department's extensive surgical expertise, in combination with ongoing teaching and research activities, provide ample resources and advanced surgical techniques for patient care.
