Research and Financial Analyst 3 SOM: MED: Radiology Sacramento Campus (Rsch Adm 3) Job Summary This position is responsible for all Center pre-and post-award activities, including effort reporting and financial analysis and serves as a lead for all research administrative activities in the department regardless if it is Center or department-centric and will provide best practice, in conjunction with others as it relates to best practice. The position will be responsible for SharePoint content, authoring policy and procedures related to departmental and center processes, including deadlines and expectations and serve as a lead in ensuring the deadlines are communicated timely to leadership. This position will work closely with department leadership to ensure that center research investigators, IRB members and staff, and other appropriate personnel maintain continuing knowledge of, and comply with, relevant ethical principles, relevant federal regulations, OHRP guidance, other applicable guidance, state and local laws, and institutional policies for the protection of human subjects. The position researches issues, analyzes data, prepares reports, makes recommendations, coordinates, meetings, develops presentations, manages department's research budgets and oversees all research operations, grants and projects, and provides expert and comprehensive financial, analytical and administrative oversight and support for research and clinical project operations. The incumbent will also assist with clinical trials and external research for billing analysis and recharges. Serve as a liaison between and among the research team and School of Medicine and provides research support to the Department of Radiology department RA activities during leaves or heavy deadlines. Interview and recruiting process may occur at any time Minimum Qualifications Must have accounting and Excel experience to generate spreadsheets, calculations and pivot tables. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint. Extensive experience using Excel, reporting tools and/or equivalent applications to develop complex spreadsheets and ad hoc reports including the use of pivot tables, and other advance spreadsheet programs/functions. Preferred Qualifications Department Description The Department of Radiology is a large academic and clinical department within the School of Medicine which is responsible for teaching and training of residents, medical students, and clinical fellows, as well as both basic and creative clinical scholarly investigations. Radiology maintains a substantial amount of research, both basic and clinical trials, and provides services for interdepartmental research studies.
