 General Accountant 3 (GEN ACCOUNTANT 3) Job Summary The General Accountant 3 performs professional accounting and financial duties for the Health System. Plans, develops and coordinates moderately complex professional financial analysis in an independent manner and uses broad knowledge of general ledger and budgetary systems, accounting, and healthcare financial practices. Prepares financial analyses and reports including variance analysis reports, financial statements, and other ad-hoc financial reports for presenting to various levels of personnel, from departmental staff to senior management. Provides support to improve finance processes. Acts as a general accounting liaison to various departments on an assortment of multifaceted projects, including system implementations, process designs and redesigns, and financial system training. Prepares workflows and recommendations to assist the organization in improving Health System general accounting recording and reporting.
