This position involves the development, design, planning, and organizing of event activities - both off-and on-site - including budget development and reporting, venue research and selection, contracts with caterers and other vendors, building online registration pages, developing marketing materials, managing event promotion, making travel, lodging and dining arrangements for guest speakers and event attendees, and submitting reimbursements. In addition, this role also has outward facing duties, as the Event Planner may engage with alumni and distinguished guests. The Event Planner must be able to navigate the logistical aspects of event planning (and working with event vendors), while also exhibiting finesse and flexibility in working with our alumni, current faculty, students and staff. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The budgeted salary that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $77,500.00 - $88,000.00.
