The Office of Admission at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invite applicants for the full-time, benefit eligible position of Application Processor/Customer Support.  

The primary responsibility of this position is to be an integrated member of the Admission Staff, provide efficient processing of applications, and serve as customer support for calls and emails coming into the CSB and SJU Admission Office, helping ensure we meet our enrollment targets for the academic year.

Responsibilities

Application Processing (80%)

• Inclusive knowledge of the application process for first-year, transfer, readmit, international, and graduate nursing students is required.   In addition, this position is responsible for timely responses to requests from applicants, parents, high school counselors, or people from various offices regarding application information or general application process.  
• Processing applications includes compilation of electronic files; completion of successive steps of the application process to the point of committee review, acceptance/denial, deposit/cancellation; and appropriate and timely letter responses. Although the process usually has related sequential steps, situation analysis is often required to appropriately respond to unusual circumstances.   Handling of unique correspondence pertaining to applications is required, data entry and work with mail merges in Microsoft products, along with making judgment calls for various problems that arise.
• Update information for application files (transcripts, evaluations, etc.).
• Writing and/or updating an application process/policy manual.
• Inventory management for application related materials 

Customer Support (15%)

• Respond to incoming calls and emails received by the admission office. 
  • General and specific information requests must be interpreted accurately and in a timely manner; either answered or referred on to the appropriate person.
• Representing and sharing information about the college is mandatory in the absence of an appropriate referral.  Therefore, extensive knowledge of CSB and SJU, the coordinate mission, college organizations, functions and activities, student search and selection process and the four-year college experience is critical to responding appropriately to the diverse requests made from key internal and external customers.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail.
• Coordinate daily updates to partner offices around campus. 

Assist with Special Mailings and Operational Projects (5%)

• Help with special mailings (Swag mailings) and other projects as time allows.
