About The Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU): https://www.ohio.edu/medicine/research/ctru Summary of Work:The Research Coordinator will be provide support for qualitative and quantitative research projects in public health, health policy, health services research, clinical research, or related disciplines at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine's (HCOM) Clinical & Translational Research Unit (CTRU). The Research Coordinator will use intermediate-level scientific knowledge and research skills to perform a variety of research and operations-related activities on the CTRU, such as protocol development, fiscal management, human subject recruitment, focus groups, interviews, human subject compensation, and specimen collection (e.g. urine, blood, saliva). This position requires a strong understanding of the scientific research process and the regulatory policies and guidelines that govern human subject research. The Research Coordinator will work closely with research team members (i.e., faculty, staff, students, community partners) to support quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting; conduct literature reviews; connect with community partners; assist with grants and special projects; and other duties as assigned.
