As a Basel Regulatory Policy - Vice President, you will be part of the Financial Regulatory Policy team (FRP). In this role you will be specifying the regulatory requirements that need to be followed and providing the definitive "house view" where points are ambiguous or open to interpretation. You will be helping Barclays IHC to evaluate, understand, interpret, and implement new capital regulations related to the finalization of Basel III (Basel IV).

Salary / Rate Minimum: $145,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $190,000

What will you be doing?

??? Analyzing gaps between existing and proposed regulations and work with the calculation team to determine impact of changes
??? Developing new interpretations in areas where the regulations are not adequately specified
??? Providing policy support to the RWA calculation team and help ensure the timely implementation of Basel IV regulations
??? Participating in industry discussions and advocacy efforts related to Basel IV
??? Analyzing the impact of the new regulations on existing business practices and structures
??? Preparing and delivering training to all internal stakeholders on changes in the regulations
??? Understanding and applying regulatory requirements quickly and accurately

What we're looking for:

??? Solid understanding of Bank capital regulations and Financial Services industry experience, with a working knowledge of basic corporate finance & retail banking products
??? Excellent interpersonal, influencing and team working skills, to build and sustain effective working relationships with internal clients and credibility with stakeholders
??? Exceptional control awareness including understanding of key controls required in a bank, with a keen appreciation for reputational risk factors
??? Ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to a range of audiences, including senior management

Skills that will help you in the role:

??? Knowledge of Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB) and Standardized Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk (SA CCR) capital requirements
??? Familiarity with traded products such as OTC derivatives, Repos and Margin Loans
??? Any experience with governance related activities and regulatory engagement
??? An appreciation of general accounting principles

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
