Purpose:

We are looking for a subject matter expert and leader who will be responsible for building our Onboarding, Financial Crime and Fraud capability. Working closely with Product, Risk, Engineering, Operations and Data teams, you will design and deliver automated detection and decisioning on Fnancial Crime and Fraud, whilst also driving growth across the business. This leader will need to have deep empathy for the customer experience to build a strong financial crime discipline within our new business.

What you will be doing:

Design and deliver the product roadmap and strategy for the end-to-end customer experience involving our financial crime processes and the development of our financial crime decision platform/risk engine
Partner closely with our leaders of Product, Risk, Operations, Growth and our Chief Commercial Officer on strategy and execution of the roadmap
Manage the release of new features or processes in a robust manner
Enable the smooth operation of financial crime day to day processes
Sit on the leadership team for the Product organisation
Lead the delivery of a best-in-class customer experience for relevant customer touchpoints and journeys
Be accountable for financial crime KPIs and outcomes
As the team expands, recruit, develop and mentor the financial crime product tribe
Stay current with industry trends and apply them in your role as needed

Requirements

What you should have:

Subject matter expertise in financial crime; bad actor behaviours, detection and action, measurement
Experience with existing and emerging technologies to combat financial crime
Experience leading a product area, including direct management of a wide group of Product Managers as well as working closely with teams such as engineering, operations, risk, data
Experience building impactful product as an individual contributor prior to moving into a leadership role
Strong people leadership principles and a passion for developing others
Product/Outcome Focus ??? Open-mindedness when considering new and/or deviant feature ideas; Ability to put himself/herself in the customer???s place and identify their key needs and pain points
Delivery Excellence ??? the capability to mobilize and successfully manage end to end execution to a high standard across all facets of the change process to ensure benefits are realized
Innovation ??? an awareness of emerging technology and innovation how this can be applied to solve challenges and improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
Design Led Thinking ??? an awareness of end-to-end customer focused solution design and architecture alignment / problem solving

Even better if you have:

Solid experience in fighting financial crime.
Product management experience in a tech-forward business or/and a heavily regulated industry
Scrappy get-it-done mindset to take products and features from 0 to 1
Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems
Knowledge of market trends, new technologies and emerging bad actor behaviours
Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilities
Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction
Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Able to work within a multi-jurisdictional and high velocity teams spread geographically
