Job Description:

• Support the mission of Ashland University and the CONHS.
• Support Ashland University's philosophy of Accent on the Individual.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of exercise science and research in a
  variety of learning modalities.
• Contribute to course and curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, including
  the development of a new cardiopulmonary rehabilitation track within the Master's degree.
• Advise exercise science students.
• Advise prospective students and support admissions events.
• Assist the Exercise Science Program Director.
• Develop working professional relationships with local, state, and national agencies and
  organizations to enhance service learning and other educational opportunities.
• Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in diverse academic programs.
• Commitment to the assessment of learning outcomes.
• Serve on department, college and university committees.
• Serve as the Internship Coordinator for the exercise science programs.
• Develop and maintain a scholarly program of research that includes review of literature and
  implementation of research, writing, editing, and presenting.
• Commitment to continued professional development.
• Assist with the development of program self-study reports necessary to pursue and maintain
  discipline specific accreditation.

Required Qualifications:

• Earned doctoral degree or near completion in Exercise Physiology or other closely related field
• National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification
• Teaching experience in the area of exercise physiology
• Strength and conditioning field
