Southeast Colorado Power Association (SECPA), headquartered in La Junta, Colorado, is seeking qualified candidates to serve as the CFO to the Cooperative and its subsidiary SECOM also headquartered in La Junta. The CFO oversees all accounting functions of SECPA and SECOM, including completion of Form 7 & 990 (SECPA), cash flow charts, income statements, balance sheets, rate schedules and all other documents required by lenders, regulators, auditor and/or internal organization. The CFO is responsible for development of annual budgets; and oversees all Association finances, investments, loans and borrowing with direction from the CEO. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance desired but other disciplines or equivalent work experience will be considered. Higher education degree(s), industry certification(s) and/or practical application of skills in a relevant position is desired. Applicant should possess demonstrated financial management expertise with minimum three (3) years' experience. Working knowledge of RUS accounting methods and generally accepted accounting principles is preferred. Applicants should be team focused, member-driven, self-motivated, excellent communicators, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
