What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience preferred.
• BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
•  Ability to delegate and work effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong system expertise (SAP, WMS, Salesforce, Business Objects, Kronos, Service Now)
• Comfortable holding people accountable
• Sense of experimentation and a desire to lean
•  Project management, time management and excellent prioritization skills
• Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff
• Administers and exercises policies and procedures
• Ensures employees operate within guidelines
• Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers
• Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
• Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution
•  Advanced data and analytics skills utilized to track and sustain continuous improvement for initiatives and routine business needs 
• Applies data visualization, descriptive and summary statistical techniques for discovery and timely insights
•     Salesforce Case Management
•     Optimize efficiency in warehouse with consistent Profiling process
•     Release of all cycle count plans
•     Supports Outbound & Inbound Reconcilers (Day & Nights)
•     Setting necessary cadence and culture of team huddles
•     3rd party distributor Inmar and vendor returns support
•     Monitor critical inventory control dashboards
•     Participate in Inventory Control resource management decisions
•     Coordination of outbound pulls'
•   Monthly one on ones with team
