LARC offers a variety of student programs including Supplemental Instruction Tutorials, Drop-In Tutoring, Academic Learning Skills Workshops, Individual Academic Learning Skills Consultations, and Leadership Development Opportunities. For more information about the program, please visit LARC's web site at: www.LARC.uci.edu Reporting to the Director of the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC), the Administrative Coordinator provides critical administrative support to LARC staff, office operations and related activities. Serving as the first point of contact as the front desk receptionist, this position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, providing accurate information to students, faculty, staff, and the community on LARC's various programs and services. This position is responsible for coordinating the quarterly recharge billing process, assisting in producing marketing and outreach materials, and planning/executing LARC events logistics. This role serves as the Unit Business Coordinator (UBC) for LARC and is a liaison with the DUE Business Office and Personnel Office, responsible for collecting/providing requested data and information, monitoring expenses, updating/managing operating budget reports, coordinating facilities requests, purchasing supplies and materials, and other administrative duties as assigned. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor to interact with a wide variety of constituents, such as students, faculty, staff, parents, and the general public. Ability to provide high quality customer service via various modes such as phone, e-mail, and in-person. Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented. Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task, and adjust priorities based on office needs. Ability to analyze data, produce reports, and suggest solutions. Accurate typing, grammar and proofreading skills to prepare and edit letters, memos, e-mails, reports and forms. Skill in interacting with persons of varied social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds to obtain and convey information and promote inclusive excellence. Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain collaborative working relationships with the LARC team. Skill in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook. Preferred: BA/BS Experience working in an administrative position within higher education Interest and background knowledge of undergraduate learning support programs. Knowledge of UCI's policies, guidelines, and procedures relating to finance and accounting. Experience working with UCI's financial system, Kuali. Working knowledge of electronic media and applications, and ability to design and develop social media, web, and print-ready marketing materials.
