POSITION SUMMARY: The position of LMS and Learning Design Specialist will be instrumental in creating an engaging and effective learning experience for students and faculty members through the utilization of a Learning Management System (LMS). You will collaborate closely with instructors, Associate Deans, LMS Administrator and the Dean of Transfer Programs and Online Learning to analyze learning needs, develop learning objectives, and assist the instructor with the alignment of the course outcomes and objectives with the college's curriculum and educational goals, which includes addressing equity gaps among underserved student populations. Leveraging your knowledge of pedagogy, you will assist/guide/train faculty on how to create interactive and multimedia-rich learning content to create engaging courses for students. You will also be responsible for integrating emerging technologies and tools within the LMS, such as virtual classrooms, course development tools, discussion forums, and collaborative platforms, to enhance the online learning experience. Furthermore, this position will play a pivotal role in project management, ensuring timely delivery of learning materials, evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions, and providing ongoing support (through the eLearning Ticketing System) and training to faculty and students in effectively utilizing the LMS.
