Posting Number: F00749P Job Summary: The Department of Rehabilitative Sciences seeks an experienced faculty member to work as a member of a team to develop curricular content, teach courses, and supervise student management and fitting of patient models in the Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSOP) program. Online teaching responsibilities for courses in the summer session are also required. The positions are 12-month clinical or tenure-track appointments beginning in Spring or Summer 2024. Faculty rank commiserate with education and experience. Clinical track appointments may be convertible to tenure-track no later than the end of year three of the appointment. Candidates considered for a tenure-track position must possess a terminal academic doctoral degree by the start date and demonstrate the potential for research productivity. The position reports to the director of the Orthotics and Prosthetics program and the department chair. The Orthotics and Prosthetics program anticipates completion of modern and innovative facilities and admission of its first cohort in May 2024. The successful candidate is expected to participate as a full member of the faculty with all relevant duties, responsibilities, and benefits. The faculty member is expected to be responsible for the development, organization, implementation, coordination, and assessment of the curriculum and a wide variety of courses within the didactic and clinical portions of the MSOP degree. Academic rank commensurate with experience. The new MSOP faculty member will join a dynamic and growing department and participate in the internationally renowned ETSU IPE Program, focused on interprofessional education and training for the next generation of scholar-practitioners. The Department of Rehabilitative Sciences is located within the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences, which includes numerous programs including Speech and Language Pathology, Audiology, Social Work, and Allied Health Sciences. Quillen College of Medicine, the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, the College of Public Health, and the College of Nursing.
