Job Description

JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION: Intended to be used exclusively for jobs and employees on the CDC contract. Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space | Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment. CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Performs advanced tasks. Completes the most-difficult assignments. May mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others. May be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of a small team. KNOWLEDGE: Typically, multi-skilled over a number of activities and products. Shares expertise with colleagues and others. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Expected to make recommendations for new procedures. MINIMUM EDUCATION & TYPICAL EXPERIENCE OR EQUIV. COMBINATION: Minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment
