Current Need

The Process Analyst, Configuration Management is responsible for evaluating the performance of the configuration management process, through audits, reporting, etc. The process analyst will measure execution of the process, to evaluate whether McKesson technology assets are being maintained in a timely fashion. The process analyst will serve as an advocate and educator for the configuration management process, working with partners and McKesson teams to ensure that updates and changes to configuration data are handled in a structured, documented, rigorous fashion to ensure auditability and accuracy. The process analyst will work with the Configuration Management Process Owner and the Discovery Architect to evaluate people and technology changes to the configuration management process to ensure continuous improvement.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

• Performing operational activities as defined by CM policies and procedures

• Engaging with strategic projects to ensure CM is accounted for within project activities and deliverables

• Mentoring the organization on CM services, concepts, policies, and procedures

• Performing the design, coding, and testing of reports as needed

• Collecting and reporting on metrics as required

• Identifying and reporting on noncompliance situations

• Performing CM audits as directed

• Identifying service improvement opportunities

• Mentoring and helping direct configuration management specialists

Minimum Requirements

• Typically requires 4+ years relevant experience

Critical Skills

• Hands on experience with configuration management concepts and tools.

• Process understanding and foundation in the Now Platform, including the Common Services Data Model (CSDM).

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in IT Service Management roles (such as hands-on service delivery, operations management, consulting, etc.) with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Strong understanding of the ITIL framework and the ITSM, ITOM, ITAM processes.

• Requirements gathering and facilitation experience.

Additional Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication.

• Established collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills to successfully partner with a diverse group of stakeholders.

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., ITIL credentials), strongly preferred.

Education

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience
