This position will be located on the UW-Madison campus as part of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, with a Tenure Home within the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation. Considered core faculty within the DPT program, the faculty member hired will be expected to provide classroom, online/and or laboratory instruction associated with more than one lecture, for-credit courses, including grading and serving as the instructor of record. Duties within the DPT program will also include assisting with the design and execution of administrative functions associated with academic instruction and work with campus partners across and beyond campus.

Within the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation, this faculty position will conduct research within the team science environment of Badger Athletic Performance and the Division of Sports Medicine. External funding for research and training will be routinely sought and expected to support a significant amount of the faculty's research effort.

The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Terminal Degree
1) Doctor of Physical Therapy
2) Ph.D. in biomechanics, kinesiology, clinical investigation or related field.

Required:
- 2+ years teaching in higher education or related field
- Experience working with students in research related activities
- Established record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national meetings of professional organizations
- Experience teaching a variety of topics from basic science related courses (biomechanics) to research seminars
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others on the team and manage conflict in a professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with professionals in varying disciplines
- Experience developing an independent research program with a focus on immediate and long-term recovery following musculoskeletal sports-related injury
- Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills to create, present, and assess effectiveness of external scholarly processes

Preferred:
- 2+ years of teaching in the physical therapy program
- Experience with classroom management platforms
- Experience conducting research in a team science environment
- 2+ years experience in clinical teaching and leadership with ability to successfully manage relationships between Doctor of Physical Therapy and Tenure Department
