PRMO Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Primary Care. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. The Mission of the PRMO is delivering quality service by enhancing the patient experience, providing financial security, and preserving Duke’s reputation and mission of advancing health together. Coordinate andparticipate in a variety of duties asso ciated with daily clinic preparationprocess, patient identification, pat ient check in/out, cash management andpatient appointment scheduling. Po sition also involves customer service,message distribution and referrals management.
Work Perfor med · Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients andcomp leting next day preparation activities. · Check-in patient upon arrival in the practice. · Identify correct patient information in Maestro Care. Verify/upda tepatient demographic and insurance data as needed. Edit Maestro Care a s needed. · Accurately identify the appropriate account for patient visit. span> · Presen tand educate patients on required forms and obtainsignature including di stribution of PROMIS ipads as required by policy andprocedure. · Completes all Maestro Care required on-line questionnaires andmanage all appropriate a lerts. · Obtain imprest cash bag from cash manager at beginning ofshift. Secu re cash and patient paymentinformation appropriately at all times during clinic hours. · span>Return imprest cash bag at end of shift to cash manager. · Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due. · Label all patient specif ic chart documents andrequisition/transmittal documents for scanning. span> · Expla< /span> · Detei n billing to patients according to PRMO credit andcollection policies.rm ine the amount of cash to be collected based on insuranceplan. · Check-out app ointments. · Make return appointments by scheduling patients into the correcta ppointment type, entering accurate primary care physician or referringph ysician information in Maestro Care. · Review and attach referrals to scheduled appointments asappropriate. · Answer telephone, take and deliver messages topr oviders. · < span>Report obtained medical information from patients and referringphys icians accurately, completely and timely. Disseminate messages according topractice communication standards. · Review and resolve registration and refe rral workqueue editsdaily. < p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Strong verbal andwri tten communication. · Basic PC and data entry skills. · Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette.
