Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required

• Master of Education, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work and degree or certifications in working with students with learning differences preferred or desire to obtain such certifications.
• Experience in a PreK – 12 environment, preferably in independent schools.
• Knowledge of teaching methodologies and differentiated approaches to learning.
• Strong references to convey abilities.

 General Competencies:

• Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.
• Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
• High level of competence using technology.
• Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Productivity, meeting deadlines, demonstrating effective use of time, and handling multiple assignments simultaneously.

Upon Hiring

• Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks.
• Completion of Virtus: Protecting God's Children training.
• Current CPR certification.
• Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures and rules contained in the Duchesne Employee Handbook.
