The Ophthalmic Tech is a clinical support role and is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Clinic patients and customers and supporting the Clinics by providing a variety of direct patient care services including planning, implementing and evaluating direct patient care, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, supervising appropriate recording and retention of all medical records, guiding patients via education and communication, maintaining optimal patient flow, and administering medications.  This individual performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
