Organization: Infectious Disease - Admin 30Job Summary: This position will support the needs of the newly created ELVIS (ECHO Laboratory core at Vanderbilt for Integrated Sample biobanking) Lab Core, for the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program, at VUMC. The main roles of the ECHO Lab Core are to facilitate ECHO Cohort biospecimen collection and processing, manage the ECHO biorepository, perform assays to support ECHO cohort analyses, and to coordinate biospecimen information and assay results. To fulfill these roles, the Lab Core needs to work closely with the other ECHO cores, centers, and cohort sites to handle specimen kit ordering, disbursement, biospecimen collection and biobanking, data generation and data sharing. The project manager will operate under the guidance of the ECHO contact Principal Investigators and Program Manager(s) to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and work collaboratively with the other ECHO components. The ideal candidate should have a background in medicine or scientific research.The ideal candidate should be highly organized, timeline driven, flexible, self-motivated, and excel at communication. The project manager will operate under the guidance of the ECHO (Environment Influences on Child Health Outcomes) contract Principal Investigator and the Research Program Manager to ensure timelines and deliverables are met. Examples of the tasks the project manager will perform are: planning the project, monitoring and documenting project progress, setting timelines and ensuring they are met, and effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders Performs project management support and analysis under occasional guidance. Works with customers to understand and analyze operational procedures, requirements, processes and/or other needs to bring about successful completion of the project. .
