King University is a comprehensive university offering more than 90 majors, minors, pre-professional degrees, and concentrations through five academic schools of learning. King's main campus occupies 135 acres of rolling, wooded terrain two miles east of the twin cities of Bristol, Tennessee, and Bristol, Virginia. The president serves as the University's chief executive officer and reports to the Board of Trustees. As the senior executive, the president has overall leadership for King University, formulating the vision and providing strategic leadership in developing long-term initiatives to advance King's mission.

The Board seeks a president who will reflect the nature of King's well-rounded disciplines and who can champion the integration of faith and learning, financially steward an academic enterprise, create community, foster prosperity, and promote excellence.
