Position Overview

We are a Chicagoland-based CPA firm with offices in Westchester, IL, Edina, MN and Schererville, IN. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will work on a team with other Associates, Managers, Principals, and Partners. This team has a passion for what they do and a focus on consistently delivering value to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team to meet various department and client deadlines throughout the year
• Working with all types of business entities including corporations, partnerships, not-for-profits
• Must have experience with the following types of tax returns: business tax returns including 1120, 1120S, 1065, trust returns 1041, and personal return 1040 including Schedules C & E.
• Exposure to not-for-profit returns 990 and 990-T a plus.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual year-end tax projections
• Manage certain client relationships
• Providing supervision, training, mentoring and guidance to certain staff
• Willing to work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting/Taxation
• CPA
• 3+ years' experience in a public accounting firm; small firm experience preferred
• Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and CCH Axcess
• Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
