This full-time, permanent Radiation Health Physicist 3 (RHP3) position is stationed out of the Tumwater duty station. Telework (mobile work) is currently expected. Required in-office work is rare and infrequent and would be scheduled in advance.

Required Qualifications. Experience defined below may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities. Please ensure any relevant experience defined below is outlined in your cover letter, resume, and/or applicant profile.
Option 1: Education in specific coursework in the physical science, engineering or biological science totaling 90 quarter or 60 semester credits (300 – 400 level or above). AND Four (4) years of professional experience in an official radiation control program or equivalent expertise and job experience.
Option 2: A bachelor’s degree AND six (6) years of experience in a radiation protection program.
Option 3: A Bachelor of Science degree in physical science, engineering, or biological science AND Four (4) years of professional experience in an official radiation control program or equivalent expertise and job experience.
Computer Skills: Use of computer word processing, inputting data into databases related to work activities, and communicating with others verbally and in writing, including utilizing email systems.
NOTE: An official radiation control program is a radiation control program that is large enough to devote full-time staff to the review and control of the use of ionizing radiation with the intent of limiting and reducing human exposure to radiation.
