CUNY SPS currently seeks candidates for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer (Doctoral Schedule) for the School's two online Youth Studies programs: Bachelor of Arts in Youth Studies and Master of Arts in Youth Studies Program. Both programs offer online courses containing asynchronous and synchronous elements with the expectation that instructors will engage with students synchronously a minimum of 50 % of class sessions. This position reports to the Academic Director of Youth Studies programs. RESPONSIBILITIES The general responsibilities will include but are not limited to: teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, participating in information sessions and orientations for new Youth Studies students, supporting the implementation of the program and School???s strategic plans, engaging in curriculum and program development, participating in learning outcomes assessment, conducting teaching observations, reviewing courses for quality standards, providing service to the program and School via membership in School governance committees, and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
