Full-Time/Part Time: Full-Time Overview: As an integral part of the educational mission of Northern Illinois University (NIU), the Holmes Student Center is committed to providing the campus community with a gathering place that enhances student life, cultivates unity, and promotes development through a variety of cultural, educational, social and recreational programs. Under supervision from the Executive Director of the Holmes Student Center (HSC) and the Director of Student Activities, the Administrative Aide is primarily responsible for supporting the operations of the Holmes Student Center, including the department of Student Involvement. Position Summary: The Administrative Aide is responsible for administrative support and staff support for the day-to-day functions of the Holmes Student Center and the leadership team. Maintain an organized overview of departmental activities, responsibilities and deadlines. Manage and organize the leadership team calendars. Schedule and coordinate appointments for the leadership team, assist in organizing tasks with support items needed. This entails Student Government Association front desk support and providing high level administrative support for human resource processes, general office tasks, maintaining and distributing departmental policies and operational procedures, coordinating the workflow of the Administration Office, and other related duties as assigned.
