This role will manage the accounting for the FUSE and Insights and Engagements (I&E) businesses. FUSE is Cardinal Health's commercial technologies innovation lab focused on developing products that enhance workflow for healthcare providers or improve access and efficiency for consumers.  The business primarily works on existing IT platforms for various businesses within Cardinal to improve the functionality of those platforms and the user experience.  Insights & Engagement (I&E) offers a variety of services to pharmaceutical companies to assist with the commercialization and understanding of their drugs.  Commercialization services include eBlasts, Web Conferences, advisory boards, focus groups, and opportunities to speak to doctors at one of our summits, along with other tactics to educate physicians on the uses of our client's drug. Skills key to success in this role are the desire to take ownership as the primary accounting point of contact for the business, strong communication skills, the ability to independently and proactively identify risks and opportunities and propose solutions and a desire to take on unique accounting challenges that may arise.

What General Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health

General Accounting is responsible for maintaining the financial books and records and preparing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

The accounting role will support the Innovative Delivery Solutions business unit. IDS offers unique experiences in one of the service based businesses within the Pharmaceutical Segment of Cardinal Health.

Responsibilities

• This role will be responsible for end to end accounting for Other Pharma businesses working closely with FP&A and Genpact resources to prepare timely, accurate financial statements for month end close.  

• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliation preparation and review, financial statement variance analysis, preparation and review of various quarter and yearend reporting packages.

• Training and supervision of Genpact resources, assessing various business initiatives and transactions and providing accounting guidance to finance partners, etc. 

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

• 4+ years experience in related field preferred

• Prior supervisory experience preferred

• CPA preferred
