Summary The Conduct Officer, a key member of the Student Rights and Responsibilities team at the University of New Mexico, has a multi-faceted role. The incumbent is responsible for administering the Student Code of Conduct with a focus on comprehensive, educational, and fair practices that balance with well-being and safety of all university community members. The incumbent fosters a positive environment of responsibility, accountability, and personal growth while educating students about their rights and responsibilities. The role adapts to the needs of a diverse and ever-changing student population. Reporting to the Associate Dean and Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities, the Conduct Officer manages a caseload of conduct cases, including reviewing reports, conducting investigations, adjudication. The incumbent plays a vital role in developing and leading educational programs and interventions for students, including outreach and training efforts for faculty, students, staff, and other relevant parties. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in student conduct administration, residence life and housing, or other Student Affairs departments Experience working with student conduct software systems
