Coordinates and provides the pharmaceutical care of patients for an assigned clinical unit and participates in patient care rounds with medical staff personnel. We are recruiting highly motivated pharmacists in the hematology and oncology therapeutic areas for our growing practice. Pharmacy clinical specialists will be responsible to provide clinical services to Hematology and/or Oncology patients. Responsibilities include rounding with the inpatient services and rotational based coverage in the outpatient clinic settings. Pharmacy clinical specialists are responsible for provision of clinical pharmacy services, patient education and counseling, nursing/physician/pharmacy in-services, protocol and pathway development, research/quality/cost-savings initiatives, precepting students and residents (including PGY-2 Oncology), and Beacon protocol review.
