Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

• An earned doctorate degree in education is preferred; ABD considered; master's degree may be considered.
• Licensure and experience at the elementary level is required.
• Three years teaching experience in an E-12 school is required.
• Licensed or licensable to teach in the State of Minnesota is required.
• Knowledge and experience in technology, including web-based instruction is also required.
• Demonstrated skills in collaboration, consensus building, and achieving mutual goals with colleagues are preferred as this individual serves as a liaison between SMSU, Minnesota West, and Worthington 518.
• Student-centered approach to education and a commitment to helping grow the education program.
• Must have an understanding of and appreciation for liberal education. The University is committed to fostering a global perspective. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference is given for additional licensures (Early Childhood and/or English as a Second Language).
• Faculty experience in teacher preparation program with understanding of PELSB licensure rules is preferred.
• Experience in supervision of field experiences as a classroom mentor and/or university supervisor is preferred.
