The Program Manager, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the program.This position will be stationed at the Fort Worth Campus with requirements to ravel to other campuses as required to meet the needs of the program. Work hours are Monday though Friday from 8am-5pm. Work requirements may indicate the need for some after-hours, nights, and weekends for event support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

50%

  • Plans, organizes, directs and manages day-to-day activities, develops and implements procedures for the administration of the program                                        

  • Serves as a recruiter for the Ph.D. program       

  • Ensures documentation needed to apply and participate in the program is communicated to students.

  • Schedules and attends meetings and sessions between faculty and prospective students.                                                                                                                                   

  • Analyzes requirements for program entry and communicates these to prospective students through marketing, phone calls, and email and text campaigns

  • Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.

  • Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing management policies or operating practices to support program growth.

  • Develops administrative and technical procedures.

  • Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.

40%

  • Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations to grow PhD

program.

  • Assists in developing strategic plans and goals to support the program.

  • Assists with yearly budgetary and contract processes. Prepares vouchers, purchase orders, and requisitions and coordinates with accounting personnel and other support staff.

  • Performs special analyses and project summaries.

  • Assists with the development and production of materials designed for the program.

  • Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries. Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events and may provide on-site support.

  • Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.

  • Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.

  • Hires, trains, and supervises student workers and support staff.

10%

  • Work requirements may indicate the need for some after-hours, nights, and weekends for program support.

  • Travel to other campuses (Waco, Midlothian, RELLIS, Stephenville) as needed to support the program.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and

experience

  • Five years of related experience.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

  • Preferred Experience:

  • Higher Education, or

  • Criminology or Criminal Justice background

Salary 

Commensurate with experience  

 

The target base annual salary is $48,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
