Position Title:Systems Analyst IIJob Group:Professional & ScientificRequired Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:Associates DegreeExperience administering computerized maintenance management system (TMA) Experience with administering databases (SQL or a similar system) Job Description:Summary Monitor, maintain, support, and upgrade TMA Systems Maintenance Management Software Solutions. Provide significant daily support for the system and associated databases.  Monitor, maintain, and support departmentally managed safety and security systems: Phoenix Security Fire Safety System, etc.  Work with external departments in the use of some systems.  Maintain and administer associated databases. Produce schedules and procedures to implement system changes, apply patches, upgrades, and updates.  Manage, plan, and execute the necessary stages of information technology projects as required. Supports the analysis, design, and implementation of software/systems technical support and operating system capabilities. Example of Duties ⢠Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. ⢠Collects and writes technical requirements for new systems. ⢠Analyzes and implements an emerging technology that affects Iowa State University campus-wide. ⢠Modifies, maintains, and updates complex software. ⢠Prepares and conducts system and programming tests which may require the interfacing of diverse hardware and software. ⢠Reviews potential applications and designs hardware/software interfaces. ⢠Implements best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance. ⢠Assignments are generally of a difficult technical nature and may involve project leadership activities.
