Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. KPBS serves the greater San Diego community with informative, cultural, entertaining and educational television, radio, and web programming. KPBS TV/FM is the public television and radio station for San Diego. Licensed to San Diego State University, KPBS supports and furthers the university's educational and community service mission by informing, enlightening and empowering its audience. It does so not only by presenting national and locally produced programming of value to its San Diego audience, but also by producing programming about San Diego and its people for distribution nationwide. The function of the Development Division at KPBS is to manage and increase all aspects of mid-level and major gifts, Campaign gifts, planned gifts, endowment gifts, and annual membership of the Producers Club to the Station. *Flexibility to attend and host events that occur on nights and weekends is a must* Responsibilities The Mid-Level Development Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of current and prospective mid-level members (currently defined as $600-$5,000 in annual support), including discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. The goal of the Mid-Level Development Officer is to identify donor capacity, elevate engagement, and increase philanthropy from our membership pool. The Mid-Level Development Officer creates opportunities for donors and prospects to become more deeply engaged with KPBSs mission and learn about organizational programs and initiatives that align with their giving interests. This position collaborates within the Development and Membership teams and with departments across the organization to increase philanthropy and create a pipeline of donors from Membership to Major Gifts.
