What Supply Chain Planning contributes to Cardinal Health

Supply Chain Planning is responsible for ensuring the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. This job family is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning, supply planning, deployment planning, inventory planning, collaborative planning, and the design and implementation of the supply chain network.

The Manager, Supply Chain Planning (Demand Planning) is a lead position within the supply chain planning organization. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with numerous cross-functional stakeholders to build and deliver a consensus demand plan that considers historical trends, seasonality, promotional activities, and product transition plans, while balancing our financial targets. As we continuously evolve and improve our planning capabilities, this role will also be responsible for supporting new forecasting tools/reporting/dashboard development and scalable processes to drive cross-functional collaboration, improve forecast accuracy, and support long term sales strategies. As an individual contributor, this role will also support deep diving into data, deriving insights amongst ambiguity, and presenting findings that influence business critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Leverage demand planning system, creating short- and long-term demand forecast plans, and lead cross-functional meetings to drive demand consensus.
• Be a leader in driving process improvements and automation for demand planning tools to reduce manual data aggregation and increase visibility to the forecast analysis.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, validate demand inputs, enhance off the shelf forecast models, support development of machine learning based models, and evaluate forecast results for different categories.
• Work closely with category owners to understand business growth strategy, and reconcile significant forecast variances, refine forecasts models to reflect updated sales and marketing strategies, and improve forecast accuracy across different categories.
• Lead seasonal planning across the organization.
• Communicate ideas concisely to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to financial approval from executives.
• Provide support with data analytics, root cause analysis, and problem resolution of inventory concerns or issues.
• Support Key Account Team to identify opportunities and/or risks as part of collaborative planning.
• Responsible for identifying and mitigating future service level disruptions.
• Ad-hoc analytics related to inventory management MBO's. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning preferred
• Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment CPFR Planner experience preferred
• Proficient in Advanced Microsoft excel, SQL, and Tableau preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• APICS certification preferred
• Experience building/maintaining statistical forecast models and experience with SAP/Planning systems preferred
• Experience in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) preferred
• Must be a self-starter with strong strategic influence

Anticipated salary range: $85,100 - $121,600
