Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA is in search of a Producing Associate.  The Playhouse has become one of the leading professional theaters on the East Coast and is the largest arts organization in Bucks County.  BCP presents a year-round schedule of original productions featuring leading actors of stage and screen, in addition to a visiting artists series.  Its two-acre campus includes the historic 425-seat playhouse and the Playhouse Barn for cabaret and intimate performances, an outdoor courtyard café, waterfall picnic area, river promenade, and a full restaurant/bar. About the Position

The Producing Associate will report to and assist the Producing Director, working in collaboration with the Producers to support the planning and execution of productions, supplemental programming, and ongoing artistic programs. This is a demanding position that requires a driven and passionate professional with razor sharp focus and attention to detail. The position may evolve commensurate with the quality of work.

This is an exempt full-time position with a work week consisting of at least 40 hours per week and will require some work on nights and weekends as needed as well as occasional trips to New York City. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Work with Producers to facilitate a high degree of communication and planning between all departments.
• Manage the office and see to the needs of the Producing Director, including but not limited to scheduling, recordkeeping, communications and errands as necessary.
• Coordinate, schedule, and attend meetings with Producing Director, creating agendas and taking minutes, keeping detailed records of all action items, deadlines and decisions, completing any follow-up as needed.
• Coordinate the rights acquisition process and maintain positive relationships with licensing representatives.
• Work with the Playhouse’s casting director in the scheduling of auditions and coordination of availability checks and offers.
• Help launch the Playhouse’s new Cabaret Series and coordinate scheduling, offers and production details.
• Execute planning for the Emerging Professionals Program.
• Support the Producers in their planning and day-of activities at the Annual Gala.
• Serve as the Producers’ liaison to the Board of Directors.
• Read script submissions for new plays and musicals and prepare brief evaluations.
• Provide support in developing relationships with visiting actors, creative teams, and writers from Roundabout Theatre Company’s Space Jam program.
• Provide support to the Producers for any artistic programs as needed including all Produced and Presented shows, the Oscar Hammerstein Festival, Play Discovery Reading Series, South Asian Artistic Initiative, and more.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive working environment in accordance with the Playhouse’s commitment to creating an equitable, diverse, and harassment-free environment.
• Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Producing Director.
