Oracle Functional Consultant

Citi has embarked on a multi-year Finance Transformation initiative to implement a new Global Financial Accounting and General Ledger platform that provides a daily ledger in every legal entity, linking ledger balances and contract level reconciliations to our daily settlement records and contractual commitments. The Strategic Ledger program as it is named, selected Oracle Cloud as the technology platform of choice, after a rigorous technical and functional assessment of the firm's current ledger platforms against leading industry solutions. The new platform provides enhanced technical capability and supports our finance transformation strategy and realization of our Target Operating Model. The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.

An Oracle AHCS Functional Consultant is required at Senior Vice President level to be part of the Strategic Ledger program. The consultant will play a vital role in the implementation of the Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service application for Citi ensuring an alignment of business needs with the product functionality. The consultant will have a deep understanding of Oracle Financial modules gained from previous implementations of Oracle ERP Cloud (General Leger and Accounting Hub or S/4 HANA or their on-premise equivalents, Oracle EBS or SAP R/3.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as subject matter expert on implementation of Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service for all program releases.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for financial processes and Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service configurations.
  • Perform fit/gap analysis and identify solutions for gaps and opportunities for optimizations and improvements to system and process.
  • Collaborate with Finance SMEs on requirements gathering and translate into functional specifications and design documents.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions for Citi specific customizations, extensions, and integrations.
  • Oversee the configuration of Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service application in line with agreed requirements and solution design.
  • Provide support through testing, data conversion and cutover activities.
  • Liaise with Oracle Support and product management team to resolve applications issues and champion Citi's interests in the product roadmap.
  • Manage cross functional interdependencies and ensure a holistic view of the overall Strategic Ledger solution.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations or in an associated consulting role.
  • Proven track record of significant organizational transformations with on-premise Oracle EBS or SAP R/3, Oracle's Accounting Hub or SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts both US GAAP and IFRS, general ledger processes, Chart of Accounts design, and close, consolidation processes.
  • Understanding of the regulatory and control requirements around Citi's ledgers including ICOFR and SOX.
  • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented and organized.
  • Pro-active problem-solver who works well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written/verbal communications skills; must be concise, articulate, and persuasive with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions and the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization including senior management, including a proactive and fully transparent approach to communicating issues/requests.
  • Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed.
Education:
  • Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or other business related field is required; CPA or equivalent will be a differentiator.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Oracle Finance cloud modules. Relevant Oracle or SAP expert certification will be an advantage.
  • Experience of operating in a disciplined program management environment.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
