Posted Job Title Research Specialist A (Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics) Job Profile Title Research Specialist A Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly motivated, interactive, and well-organized Research Specialist to assist in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology research and daily operation of the laboratory of Dr. Gideon Dreyfuss. The successful candidate will assist in lab research experiments in biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology by using and understanding a wide variety of molecular biology protocols - such as cloning, DNA/RNA sequencing, assisting with tissue culturing, preparing reagents and protein gels. They will maintain required equipment, help with lab organization and other administrative support duties relating to lab operations, as required. As well as oversee and place orders for lab materials. Serve as liaison for lab safety protocols and assist in communications Position is contingent on continued grant funding. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education an experience required. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $44,500.00 - $50,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
