THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities Within the division of Patient Care Services, this position has 12-hour responsibility for the administrative functions required to support Patient Care Services. Bed Planning: Assigns beds and tracks all in-patient and out-patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Staffing: Coordinates and assigns nursing and clerical staff resources for 30 nursing units and Emergency Department, tracks personnel schedules, schedule changes, documents sick calls and replacement staff. Dispatch: Utilizes Epic EMR system to create assignment requests and dispatch staff. Contacts supervisors in appropriate departments immediately for escalations. Provide exceptional customer service. Emergency Preparedness: Initiation of Bed and Staff Poll, completion of HAvBED Polling information. Participates and provides bed availability and documentation during Code Green and Code Triage. Patient Property: Secures patient property in accordance with University policy and California state law regarding liability of damage or loss of patient property and the terms of safe keeping of abandoned property.
