Posted Job Title Research Specialist A (Department of Anesthesia) Job Profile Title Research Specialist A Job Description Summary Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tools, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Job Description Job Responsibilities The Research Specialist A will help design, perform, and analyze experiments in a computational neuroscience lab. The role will be responsible for maintenance and breeding of lab's mouse colony and performing in vivo neurophysiology experiments as well as assisting with performance of stereotaxic brain surgeries in rodents. The Research Specialist A will assist with behavioral experiments, neurophysiological recordings, and behavioral experiments. Duties include building a behavioral apparatus and troubleshooting computer control. Additional responsibilities include writing computer code for the analysis of behavior and neurophysiological recordings. Recording includes local field potential and action potentials as well as imaging data acquired using two photon microscopy. This position is contingent upon grant funding. Qualifications
Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $36,368.00 - $50,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
