Walla Walla Community College is accepting applications to fill the part-time role of Nursing Assisting Instructor on the Walla Walla campus and/or at alternate sites. General Responsibilities: The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, and facilitator of learning. This position reports to the College's Nursing Assistant Program Coordinator and will be responsible to teach classes online and/or in classroom settings. The instructor will prepare teaching material, assign grades, maintain records, and consult with students as required by the instructional division. Instruction includes classroom, lab and clinical. Conditions/Terms of Employment WWCC is no longer required to collect COVID -19 vaccine information, however, some hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions where WWCC Nursing faculty may conduct business in, may require the COVID-19 and other vaccinations. This is a part-time instruction assignment contingent on enrollment and located at the Walla Walla Campus and/or alternate sites. Persons hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of lawful employment to work in the United States within three (3) days of employment and provide transcripts. Candidate may be subject to a criminal history background check as a condition for consideration of employment. The college is a tobacco free institution. Walla Walla Community College requires all employees to participate in direct deposit for payment of salary. Compensation: Compensation for adjunct instruction is contingent on enrollment and paid in accordance with the contract between the WWCC Board of Trustees and the WWCC Association for Higher Education. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will commensurate with the educational background and experience per the Faculty Negotiated Agreement (Download PDF reader). Refer to Appendix D for the part-time salary schedule.
