 University of California Irvine Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series Gastroenterology Pool Ad Open Ranks Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Gastroenterology, MD ranging from $438,295 to $457,092. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Position description The University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates of Health Science Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels with Gastroenterology experience to join our expanding academic practice, for the following sub-specialties: Candidates will be joining an established academic program which includes 12 gastroenterologist, 4 colorectal surgeons and research program, including clinical trials and translational work. The position incorporates clinical practice, teaching responsibilities including supervision of fellows and residents in the inpatient, outpatient and endoscopy center and research. The UCI H.H. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Diseases Center, has a full scope of clinical services that include treatment in state of the art endoscopy center, GI oncology, pancreato-biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, G.I. motility and hepatology with service locations in Orange, Irvine, Newport, and Tustin. This position affords the opportunities for growth of the program. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California Medical License. Candidates must also be board-certified Internal Medicine and Board-certified/board eligible in Gastroenterology. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Must have an MD, and be eligible for a California Medical License.
