Posted Job Title Financial Analyst (Department of Pathology Bioresource) Job Profile Title Financial Analyst Job Description Summary This position will assist the Path BioResource Associate Director in all aspects of managing shared resources in the Department of Pathology. The Path BioResource provides an online platform for billing, usage tracking, cost analysis and reporting for its 8 department centers and numerous partner Cores. This position will support all Pathology service centers. These Centers, alone, offer state-of the-art instrumentation, niche services and technical expertise to more than 3500 clients each year. A primary duty will be designing/implementing 1-2-year operational plans for these high-profile Penn resources, while assuming responsibility for budget preparation and maintaining a balanced budget throughout the year. This position is also the main communications arm of PBR, coordinating seminars/meetings, and assisting with systems documentation. They will interface with the Path BioResource IT Team to enhance the Path BioResource database for more efficient financial management and buildup the PBR strategic planning tool that the IT department created for PBR, where Core Directors will be able to see all information in reference to their CORE in one place. Preferred Qualifications The qualified individual must have an undergraduate degree relating to communications, strategic planning, and/or finance, or a combination of education and experience that covers these three areas. Candidates must have outstanding writing and speaking skills and strong organizational skills (candidates with leadership experience in an organizational role are preferred). The successful candidate should also understand customer/client services (a customer service background is preferred) and be able to work collaboratively within a technically savvy professional team. The candidate needs to meet operational and other new challenges with a fresh perspective, with tenacity and with attention to detail. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $43,919.00 - $65,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
