PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. The successful resident will demonstrate desire to learn, sincere interest in the profession, and dedication to achieving all outcomes of the residency. This program cultivates the skills of practice management and education and the professional attitudes of self-evaluation, self-improvement, and accountability. About Indiana University Health Arnett Indiana University Arnett Hospital is a 191-bed community hospital located in Lafayette Indiana. Indiana University Arnett Hospital opened in 2008 and is part of the largest health system in Indiana. Several highlights of Indiana University Arnett include a medical residency program, level 3 trauma center, cardiothoracic/orthopedic and neurovascular service lines, and maternal child health services. Pharmacy services offered include clinical specialist rounding services, on-site IU Health retail pharmacy, meds to beds program, and dedicated medication history team.
