Treasury Operations Manager (12 month FTC)

I am currently working with a well-known energy trading firm based in the City of London, who are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to join them on a 12 month FTC.

Reporting into the Head of Treasury, the role will take ownership of the day to day of the operational treasury function, whilst also taking an active role in a new system implementation as the business goes through a transformation project.

Please note this is a contract role so will require a relatively quick start and only run for 12 months so please keep in mind when applying if you are currently in a permanent role.

Scope of role

• Manage the day-to-day Treasury Operations function which includes cash forecasting, payment processing, bank reconciliation, FX exposure monitoring and reporting.
• Perform bank account and standard settlement instructions (SSI) administration.
• Manage internal and external loans.
• Provide customer service and timely communications to other departments.
• Main point of contact for internal and external audit queries.
• Suggest and implement change to streamline processes and strengthen the control environment.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to improve and evolve the daily reporting.
• Contribute to and be the main point of contact for all areas of the new system implementation:
• System configuration and report design
• Static data, feeds and mappings
• Control framework
• UAT testing

Skills & Experience

• Experience of using Treasury systems highly desirable
• Involvement in system change and / or driving change through to completion
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Strong analytical and excel skills
• The treasury operations is a fast-moving environment, so requires someone with the ability to multitask and who is used to working to tight and frequent deadlines

This is an excellent role for any treasury professionals with a strong background in BAU treasury whilst also being able to add value in systems implementations and roll outs.
