Overview Join our dynamic team as Nurse Manager for Behavioral Health and Addictions Medicine, where you'll have the opportunity to plan, organize, and implement a range of impactful services. You'll oversee fiscal management, drive performance improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. You'll manage all aspects of personnel processes and communicate information effectively. Your ability to make timely decisions and manage change will be key. As part of our collaborative management team, you'll interface with all departments. Specifically, you will lead our Behavioral Health and Addiction services. Please note that all Leadership Team members are required to use their personal cell phones for business purposes. Responsibilities - Exhibits accountability for patient, team member and visitor safety, and quality of care. Ensures department practices and staff are in full compliance with Joint Commission standards, national patient safety goals, staff education/training and other safety requirements. Understands and adheres to JC standards and supports improvement in Hospital Quality Measures. Participates in multidisciplinary teams
- Establishes and exemplifies a commitment to performance improvement. Utilizes PDCA and other performance improvement tools and processes to improve services and department performance. Can demonstrate and articulate PI activities through data that has been shared with staff and executive management
- Operations/Project Management. Successfully plans, documents, implements and provides follow-up on operational issues, requests for information and projects in a thorough, accurate and timely manner. Ensures programs and services within span of control are delivered efficiently and effectively. Identifies opportunities to improve, expand, reduce and/or eliminate services to support organizational objectives, and implements as appropriate. Projects may include construction, implementation of new technology, new programs, new services, etc.
- Interviews and selects individuals for employment, oversees orientation, conducts performance appraisals, and performance management to include coaching, developing, counseling, disciplining, and terminating team members
- To ensure superior quality and safety for our patients, provides a consistent, fair, and impartial application of BMC and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Coordinates regularly scheduled staff meetings with minutes and organizes in-services, mandatory programs and continuing education programs for the department, including competencies.
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service with patients, visitors, and other customers as measured through patient satisfaction and department surveys. Reviews satisfaction data on a regular basis, responds to complaints on a timely basis utilizing established communication processes. Implements actions to improve

- Demonstrates the ability to develop and manage within department budgets. Establishes and implements processes and procedures that are in compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations to enhance revenues, reduce costs and/or improve department productivity. If responsible for a revenue producing department: Ensures accurate, lawful, and timely billing practices, reviews denial reports, identifies opportunities to decrease incidence, and appeals when appropriate
- Demonstrates a consistent commitment to be knowledgeable in, and to promote team members' understanding of, and compliance with, all applicable Federal Health care programs requirements, Federal and state laws and regulations, Beebe Medical Center's Code of Conduct and all compliance policies and procedures. Regularly includes compliance topics, confidentiality, and/or ethical matters on staff meeting agenda. If in charge of a revenue department, director takes pro-active approach to detect adverse trending and/or persistent errors in department billing, coding, and documentation processes by implementing internal controls that are monitored on a regular basis.
Qualifications - RN, Graduate of a nursing program required
- Bachelors of Nursing or actively enrolled in program with planned completion within 2-3 years
- Certified Mental Health Screener
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
- Nursing License in the state of Delaware or meet Multistate Licensure requirements
