UTSI Research Associate, Modeling

The UT Space Institute Research Engineering and Operations Department in Tullahoma, Tennessee is seeking a Research Associate, Modeling (Researcher 3, MR11). One vacancy, regular, full-time exempt monthly paid position with excellent benefits. Salary dependent upon education and experience. Position Summary: Motivated, goal-orientated Researcher specialized in materials science and testing, laser applications or computational modeling and simulation. Researcher is expected to collect, interpret, describe, and document analytical and evaluative data as well as the design, development and maintenance of laboratory apparatus to support laboratory/research-related activities. Researcher works independently and as part of a larger research team on funded and institutional projects that align with the strategic vision of the institute. Researcher will also be expected to occasionally mentor graduate students. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Function/Responsibilities
