- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field
- Minimum 4 years of fundraising or equivalent experience
- Work experience may not substitute for education requirement
- Travel required

- Ability to work efficiently within CRM
- Advanced fundraising skills (qualifying, potential solicitations, overcome objections)
- Advanced networking - positioning conversations for potential gifts
- Advanced stakeholder management (status, prospects lists, communications, etc.)
- Working knowledge of planned giving techniques
- Portfolio development/management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Advanced project management skills
- Budget management
- Knowledge of higher education endowment practices
