Posted Job Title Trainer, Large Animal Attendant C Job Profile Title Large Animal Attendant C Job Description Summary The full-time Trainer will function under the general supervision of the Director of Detection, Search and Rescue and the Training Director and will be a critical member of our training team. This person will perform a variety of duties, serving as a Full Time Dog Trainer while also being responsible for Data Collection of all training activities and protocols, serving as a leader & trainer of interns and volunteers, and maintaining the center and training equipment. This person will collaborate with the Director of Detection, Search and Rescue and Training Director in order to establish and achieve goals within each of the WDC Core Programs and for each assigned dog. This position is contingent upon grant funding. Qualifications High School Grad/GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must be reliable, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work well with others. A college degree is preferred. 2-3 years of experience required working with and handling dogs; preferably high-drive scent detection dogs. Experience with data collection, training individuals, and computer skills are essential. Preferred experience in scent detection, operant conditioning, and leadership skills. A background check, including Child Abuse Clearance, will be required. A valid driver's license is also required. A cover letter is required along with a resume. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School School of Veterinary Medicine Pay Range $16.60 - $29.22 Hourly Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
